Ms. Vicki donated a shawl to Donna to give to a nursing home.
Dress a Girl Around the World also accepts crocheted a knitted hats.
Pants that Dress a Girl Around the World creates and they also place a t-shirt in one of the pockets.
The pants that the group make have a Hot Wheel in one of the pockets.
Dress a Girl Around the World make pants for the little boys as well.

Morning meeting: 10:00 am -12:00 pm

Evening meeting: 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

We’re going to try something different this year for the evening meeting. For the evening meeting we are bumping the time up to 6:00 pm instead of 6:30 pm and then end at 8:00 pm

  • Remember to pay your dues IF YOU NOTIFIED TAMARA LAST MONTH. If you can not join us at either meeting you can contact me or Susie to make other arrangements for payment.
  • Dues are $25 per year or if you would like to pay for two years, it’s $45. Susie will be taking your money at the morning and evening meetings. 
  • Charity Crochet is Saturday May 15, 2021. Our charity crochet is on the third Saturday of each Month from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at RiverWalk Church of Christ. We will be working on hats, scarves, baby blankets, wristers and lapghans. The guild will provide some yarn. Just bring your hooks and your love for crochet. Please bring and invite anyone who loves to make simple items.
  • Monthly Challenge: Any Item for Charity, New discussion about donated items at the upcoming meeting.
  • We will be meeting for Dinner before the evening meeting at Ruben’s Mexican Grill (around 4:45 pm), which is located at 915 W. Douglas.
  • Spring Retreat is June 3-6, 2021 and we will be holding it at Potter Creek Lodge outside of Pretty Prairie, Kansas. We have secured the dates and paid. If it is raining, we are to meet in Pretty Prairie and the owner will drive us to the lodge.

    Project: Headband and Pocket Scarf

    Cost is $90

    Thursday night dinner at the Steakhouse ($15 of your $90 fee goes towards this dinner) or you can stay back at the house and have sloppy Jo’s with Linda Young. The rest of the meals will be provided by the attendees and they all sound delicious.

    We are opening the retreat up to non-members at this time. We have room for 4 more.

Yarn Size: The pattern calls for 2 skeins of Lion Brand Date Night or any Worsted Weight #4 Yarn will Work

Hook Size: The pattern calls for an I Hook

Tapestry Needle

Taught by Linda Young/Julie Ratzlaff

Pattern will be available at the meeting and by email to guild members.

Bring any projects that you have completed or working on and share with everyone.

DOOR PRIZES

The guild is always accepting door prizes, so if you have something that is crochet related in your stash of goodies and no longer need it and would like to donate to our door prizes, please feel free to do so. Donations are strictly voluntary. And remember they should be something that you would like to receive yourself.
