We had the pleasure of having the Kansas State Fair 2019 Grand Champion Winner in the Crochet Categories visit us at our evening meeting. Thank you Julie Smith for bringing your beautiful crochet pieces to share with all of us.
We will be meeting at the Riverwalk Church of Christ this Saturday, September 21, 2019, at 1:00 pm. Please feel free to bring a friend to help us out with our charity projects. Yarn will be provided or you can bring your own; all you need to bring is your love for crochet and an assortment of hook sizes from H-J. We hope to see you there.

New and Old Business
- Charity Crochet is the Saturday after the guild meeting (September 21, 2019). Our charity crochet is on the third Saturday of the Month from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at RiverWalk Church of Christ. We will be working on red and purple hats and lapghans for the nursing home in Haysville. The guild will provide yarn. Just bring your hooks and your love for crochet. Please bring and invite anyone who loves to make simple items.
- Monthly Challenge: Any crocheted caddie or organizer.
- Our Annual Fall Retreat is this Saturday, September 14, 2019. It will be held at the Riverwalk Church of Christ in the back room by the kitchen. (so please come in that entrance) We will have 3 projects to choose from or you can bring your own projects. We will have patterns for a Mandala Washcloth, a Christmas Tree, and an Infinity Cowl. The supply lists will be presented at this months meeting.
- Dinner before the evening meeting (around 5:00 pm) will be at the Anchor at 1113 E Douglas.
Yarn Size: Any type of yarn that you want to use. Three different colors (one being black). Susie has used a mercerized cotton (Catania, Patons Grace, but any size will work) You will want to bing embellishments to decorate your skull with, like beads, sequins or buttons. If you plan on using beads you will probably want to bring a bead needle.
Hook Size: To match your yarn choice.
Taught by Susie Kilgroe!
Pattern will be available at the meeting and by email to guild members.
SHOW N’ SHARE
Bring any projects that you have completed or working on and share with everyone.
The guild is always accepting door prizes, so if you have something that is crochet related in your stash of goodies and no longer need it and would like to donate to our door prizes, please feel free to do so. Donations are strictly voluntary. And remember they should be something that you would like to receive yourself.
Next Guild Meeting will be Monday October 19, 2019.
