Dear KS My Stitchers,
We have 460 purple hats, thanks to all you crocheters. If those of you who have been keeping your purple hats at home would bring them to the September Guild Meeting, I think we would meet our goal of 500. We would then end this years project for Purple Hats. We have another charity project we will intoduce soon. Many, many thanks to all of you for sharing your time and talents with the babies of Kansas.

Fall CAL will officially kick-off at our September Guild meeting and will finish at our December Christmas Party.
Participants will bring their chosen yarn (between fingering and chunky weight) to the September meeting and will fill out an info card (cowl, scarf, shawlette; Name & Ravelry ID; email address).
Participants will go into the next room and select a bag of yarn. By stalking their buddy’s Ravelry page, they can find patterns that the person likes.
We will crochet our projects for our buddy and will exchange them during our annual Christmas Party in December.
Don’t be afraid to ask your buddy for some input on patterns if they don’t have much saved in their favorites on Ravelry. Feel free to run some patterns by them for feedback. You don’t have to keep this a surprise, it is totally up to each individual.
It is a great idea to provide your own yarn for this project. You will then be guaranteed to like the color and fiber. Have fun with this project!
