Kim Guzman’s class in Topeka

There were five of us signed up for the trip, but two canceled out at the last minute, so we three remaining gals all went in my car. We had a wonderful time! Arriving in Topeka a few minutes early, we found a cute little restaurant and ordered meals to go so we could eat in the car and not be late for our class. We had no trouble locating the building; Tracie, the leader of Topeka Crochet, met us at the door. Everyone was so friendly, and they even had a tableful of goodies for us to snack on. Kim Guzman is an excellent teacher, and took us step by step through all the stitches and the felting instructions we would need to complete our felted bags (Kim, I got impatient and finished felting mine in the washer). Everyone was friendly and welcoming and I even won a door prize of one of Kim’s books!! And silly me forgot to have her sign it; I think I’ll mail it to her with a SASE and a note begging her to sign it for me.

Needless to say, I am now hooked on Tunisian and can’t wait to make more of these bags with my feltable yarn, then go on to try another pattern – maybe one from the book I won!
Thank you, Kim, for your super class; and thank you, Tracie, for inviting KS My Stitch members!! Rosina
