KS My Stitch Fall Retreat Reminder

This is a reminder that our Annual Fall Retreat is coming up on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 9:00 am-4:00 pm at the Riverwalk Church of Christ Church. Cost is $20 and will be due by the end of the August 19, 2019 evening meeting. There will be several projects that we will be featuring and we will let you know as soon as we wrap up all the details on what kind of yarns you will need to bring, along with sizes of hooks. As usual lunch will be provided and there will be door prizes. The pictures below are just a few that were taken last year.

Charity Blitz Cancelled for July and August

We are not going to be holding the July and August charity blitzes. We will resume the Charity Blitz on Saturday, September 21.

New and Old Business

• JUST A REMINDER Charity Crochet is the Saturday after the guild meeting (July 20, 2019). Our charity crochet is on the third Saturday of the Month from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at RiverWalk Church of Christ. We will be working on red and purple hats and lapghans for the nursing home in Haysville. The guild will provide yarn. Just bring your hooks and your love for crochet. Please bring and invite anyone who loves to make simple items.
• Monthly Challenge: Anything crocheted in red, white and blue.
• Yearly Dues are $25 per year starting in January or if you would like, you can pay for two years and only pay $45.
• Dinner before the evening meeting (around 5:00 pm) will be at the Anchor at 1109 E Douglas.

Woven Hotpad

Yarn Size: Kitchen Cotton (suggested yarn is Sugar and Cream or Lion Brand 24/7. You can use any cotton as long as it is a stiffer yarn.

Hook Size: H or I

Kaye Gruver will be showing us how to make this!

Pattern will be available at the meeting and by email to guild members.

Bring any projects that you have completed or working on and share with everyone.

DOOR PRIZES

The guild is always accepting door prizes, so if you have something that is crochet related in your stash of goodies and no longer need it and would like to donate to our door prizes, please feel free to do so. Donations are strictly voluntary. And remember they should be something that you would like to receive yourself.
