KS My Stitch Guild Members win at Kansas State Fair

Four of our guild members entered a few of their creations and all four won ribbons for at least one of the categories. Amanda placed second in the baby afghan category (Amanda has only been crocheting for several years). Way to go Amanda!

Donna won big, she took 6 items and placed 4 times. She won first for her knitted socks in the knitted sock (duh) category,

second for her beautiful granny square afghan, (you guessed it) in the crochet granny square afghan category,

second for her beautiful sweater that took her forever in the crochet wearables category,

and third for her crocheted owl pillow (July guild challenge) in the household items. Way to go Donna!

Lesa placed second in the Christmas Tree Skirt category. This is the first time Lesa crocheted with thread. Beautiful job Lesa!

Tamara placed second with her Flower Garden doily. We are so proud of our crochet guild and the wonderful things that they make. Hopefully next year more members will join in and overrun the State Fair with CROCHET!!!! Congratulations to all the winners.

KS My Stitch in Wichita, Kansas, is the local chapter of Crochet Guild of America. Our meetings are held the third Monday of each month, at 10:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Guests are welcome!
