We have chosen the Wichita Children’s Home to be our charity. We have been making hats and scarves since about June or July. We keep getting more and more yarn donated to us which is a good thing. We started off with one large bag of yarn and just keep getting more and more. I decided in order to keep it seperated from my own stash of yarn that I would carry it around in the trunk of my car in a suitcase. So Wendy decided it should be called trunk yarn. It sounded good and it sounds like we have an old trunk that we keep this yarn in and it’s really a car trunk that I keep it in. We have a good time figuring out which hat pattern to use and different yarns to use. Thank you so much for all of the people that have helped make this a successful workshop. Here are some of the pictures from the workshop. The people that joined us were Krista, her daughter Hannah, Wendy, Rosina, Cori, Kelly, Tamara and please look for a masked boy in the background that was trying to get Hannah’s attention. He was so funny! I think we completed 6 hats in 2 hours. Way to go charity hat makers. And last but not least. Thank you to Shelly Stilger, owner of Twist Yarn Shop for letting us invade her space with our workshops and meetings. You are the greatest!
